What started in 2008 as a friendship has become much more of a meeting of the minds amongst two women who love and respect each other. Ashley and Katherine were born 2 days apart in parts of the US in different years. Ashley thinks Katherine is the smartest person she has ever met. Katherine thinks Ashley is a much better artist than Ashley will ever believe. Together, over the years, this friendship has created many collaborations. Salted and Styled, gallery shows, photo shoots, finer art and most recently, wallpaper. Ashley sent Katherine a large scale image of Dutch Love and really gave katherine no direction. Katherine understood the assignment and painted what would become a new Dutch Love pattern aptly called Katherine. Dutch Love is Ashley's first love in the world of AWB. She created the flower arrangement at her friend Ginny Branch’s studio and knew she had something special. The inspiring light that spilled across the flowers and into Ashley's creative process was truly breathtaking; she knew Dutch Love was so special that she could start AWB with only that pattern in the collection. This is by far the most popular print that Ashley sells to date and takes its name from the Dutch masters of stunning still life paintings.
